Mr. Underwood started his sales career working for Motorola selling 2-way communications systems, where, due to some fantastic training and coaching, he quickly rose to the top tier of sales performers.

Through a series of fortunate events, Mr. Underwood was introduced into the manufactured housing industry through Palm Harbor Homes in North Carolina, and his passion for our industry, our homes, our communities, has never faded.

Mr. Underwood managed an independent retail location where they consistently sold 45+ homes per month on one location, and he also served as VP of Sales for a multi-location dealership in the southwest.

For the past 35 years, Mr. Underwood has been a consultant, speaker, and trainer in the manufactured housing industry working with retailers, communities, and manufacturers specifically in the areas of marketing, sales, sales management, and leadership development.

The sales approach he teaches, and coaches, is a non-manipulative approach to selling which is built on fundamental principles of human behavior and irrefutable logic. It is an approach that salespeople believe works and will help them sell more homes and fill more spaces.

He is the co-founder of FillRateMHC, a company focused on helping communities implement innovative sales strategies that unlock upside opportunities, driving growth and prosperity for all stakeholders involved.
